How To Stick It To The Middle East In One Easy Step

Tired of feeding Exxon-Mobil's or BP's profits while making the United States less dependent on foreign oil from unstable regions of the world? You don't have to in Ohio, Pennsylvania or New York, where 300 gasoline stations offer fuel produced in the United States made of 100 percent North American crude oil, thanks to the Pennsylvania-based United Refining Company.

"People drive by, and every time they get annoyed at ... Chavez, every time they get annoyed at BP Petroleum, every time they get annoyed at the Middle East, you know what they say? 'Why don't I buy American oil and buy American-made gasoline?'" the company's chairman and CEO John Catsimatidis told Fox News recently.

The New York billionaire maintains that the customers are "feel good about it" when they fill up their cars' tanks with his company's gasoline. Ever since the oil refiner launched an advertising campaign touting its fuel's Made in North America qualities nearly seven years ago, it has seen a steady uptick in revenues.

So, be on the look out for Kwik Fill, Country Fair or Keystone-branded gasoline stations, if you want to drive American and help support the domestic oil industry.

Ultimately that will bring down prices by making them subject to the laws of supply and demand not the whims of OPEC, a group of mostly Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, that are hardly friendly to U.S. interests.
