SAVE AMERICAN JOBS & FREEDOM!
The Trans-Pacific Partnership 'trade' deal kills American jobs and surrenders U.S. sovereignty.
Tell Congress to stop this unconstitutional threat to our jobs and our way of life. ACT NOW
U.S. officials seem to want to get Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deliberations behind them as quickly as possible before too many other nations enter the fray and average Americans begin to pay attention to the issue.
Following a recent visit to Malaysia, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk pressed for quick resolution of lingering issues standing in the way of a finalized Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact, The Hill reported. But it's highly unlikely to happen during the upcoming 12th round of talks to take place in Dallas, Texas next month.
Kirk's observation came as Mexican President Felipe Calderon reportedly called on TPP partners to allow Mexico into the pact, contending that the world needed more not less trade, in an address before U.S. business leaders.
Meanwhile, a recent ad taken out by Japan's agricultural lobby that appeared in the Washington Post warned of the potential negative effects of a TPP pact on the United States, leaving many readers befuddled as to what the group was talking about.
In Japan, TPP holds much more significance for its own people than for Americans because the nation's entry into the negotiations is the highest priority of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, who is expected to discuss the issue during his White House visit next week, the Wall Street Journal recently reported.
