Marlboro Man's Contract Likely To Be Renewed, Thanks To TPP

So what if Americans don't smoke as much as they once didt, the Marlboro Man will have something to cheer, if his handlers get their way at the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade table. Tariffs currently imposed by developing TPP countries stand to fall to nothing, putting U.S. tobacco producers in an opportune position to inundate them with inexpensive cigarettes and an epidemic of smoking-related health woes.

Fast Track: What it is and why we must stop it...NOW!

When Congress returns from recess in September, President Obama will ask it to outsource its Constitutional responsibilities and grant him unprecedented powers to sign so-called "trade" agreements with foreign countries without consulting Congress.  The White House will be able to tell Congress what it must vote on - without amendments - and even when.  It's called "Fast Track" trade promoiton authority, and it must be derailed.
